ADMU's Morado all praise for FEU's Palma after semis match
"Kung may masasabihan akong may puso sa larong ito, si Palma ang may pinakamalaking puso kanina." - Ateneo's Jia Morado on FEU's Remy Palma

After a hard-fought match, more often than not, respect is shared between the two competitors, regardless of the outcome.

This was the case after the Ateneo Lady Eagles defeated the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws in a four set UAAP Season 79 women's volleyball semifinal match, Sunday afternoon at the Mall of Asia Arena.

While the scoreline may read a dominant three sets to one win for the Lady Eagles, who secure their sixth straight finals appearance, it doesn't necessarily reflect the hard work that the Lady Tamaraws put in, especially after winning the third set and giving the finalists all that they could handle in the fourth set.

As how it had been all season, graduating team captain Remy Palma was one of, if not the hardest competitor out on the floor for the Lady Tamaraws, and Ateneo skipper Jia Morado could see that, as she gave the exiting FEU middle blocker praise after the match.

"Kung may masasabihan akong may puso sa larong ito, si Palma ang may pinakamalaking puso kanina." said Morado. "Kitang-kita, kaya nung after ng game talaga, naramdaman ko yung iyak niya."

Palma responsed, saying that she was happy to hear that, given that she had used her antics on the Lady Eagles before.

"Nakaka-overwhelm na ganun pala tingin nila sakin na kahit minsan iniinis ko sila at naiinis sila sakin."

She continued by saying that once the game ends, it's nothing but respect between the competitors.

"Pero after ng game wala naman na yun, on court lang naman yun, pero once na tapos na andun pa rin yung respeto tsaka sportsmanship magkakaibigan din naman kami outside the court."

Palma bids goodbye to her UAAP career after five seasons with the FEU Lady Tamaraws.
