De La Salle University foiled University of Santo Tomas' march to the Finals with a come-from-behind 3-1 victory Sunday night to remain undefeated in the UAAP Season 79 women's football tournament at the Moro Lorenzo Field.

Aira Indac put the Tigresses ahead in the 20th minute before Kyra Dimaandal scored the equalizer 16 minutes later - her league-best 10th goal of the season.

Alexi Arrieta then gave the Lady Archers the lead with a 50th minute strike before Chelo Hodges sealed the deal in the 80th minute.

De La Salle, which lost to University of the Philippines in last year's title match, finished the double-round eliminations with a maximum of 24 points.

UST wound up second with 13 points and will play Ateneo in a playoff for the last championship berth at 8 a.m. on May 4 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

The Lady Eagles, with Cam Rodriguez leading the charge, battled to a 3-3 draw with the Lady Maroons and later got a boost for their first-ever Finals appearance after the Tigresses lost to the Lady Archers.

The one-game championship is set at 6 p.m. on May 7 at the same Malate venue.
