Nowhere to go but UP for new Maroons CSR Agatha Uvero!
"When [Ms. Diana Sayson] said it, parang hindi ko pa ma-grasp yung sinabi niya eh. When I finally got it, it was the best feeling."

With a new UAAP season comes new beginnings, new stories, and of course, new faces.

Those new faces include this season's batch of new courtside reporters who have been given the opportunity to serve as the link between their respective schools and the fans.

This UAAP Season 80, we welcome on board eight new courtside reporters who will be patrolling the sidelines and getting the latest scoop on your favorite UAAP teams!

Meet University of the Philippines' new courtside reporter Agatha Uvero!

A 20-year old Journalism major from UP Diliman, Agatha says that being a courtside reporter is right up her alley.

"I’m taking BA Journalism, so it’s something that I really see as part of my career path," Agatha said. "But since journalism is very writing-focused, I felt like being a courtside reporter puts it into practice and adds more of a practical side to what I’m learning. It goes hand-in-hand."

Being one of three UP-Diliman students to make the final cut, the final bit of suspense, so to say, is finding out which one of the three gets to stay 'home', and as we've found out, Agatha will be manning the sidelines for the Fighting Maroons this coming UAAP Season 80.

"When [Ms. Diana Sayson] said it, parang hindi ko pa ma-grasp yung sinabi niya eh. When I finally got it, it was the best feeling."

Accoring to the sophomore, one of her strengths will be the fact that she's going to be reporting for her alma mater, and that she's friends with some of the UP athletes.

"It’s a plus that it’s my alma mater, I’m always going to be at the practices, and I’m friends with some of the athletes, so I kind of have a personal relationship and friendship with them, so I think it’s a good thing. Madali na sa akin to connect with them."
