Action in the 80th UAAP high school volleyball tournament reels off Saturday with two girls matches at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Simultaneous to the opening ceremonies at the Mall of Asia Arena, action will already begin with Eya Laure-led University of Santo Tomas taking on UP Integrated School at 12:00 noon, followed by the Adamson-University of the East showcase duel at 2:00 p.m.

Bannered by Faith Nisperos, National University will open its title-retention bid in the girls side against UP Integrated School on Monday at 2:00 p.m., while its boys squad begins its quest for a back-to-back championship campaign against UE on Sunday at 12:00 noon.

Before the NU-UE contest, the boys' competition will begin with the Ateneo-Adamson duel at 10:00 a.m. De La Salle-Zobel and UPIS play at 2:00 p.m., to be followed by the 4:00 p.m. duel between Far Eastern University-Diliman and UST.

Unlike in previous seasons, where the league plays its juniors competitions at school gyms, the girls and boys volleyball will now be played at the taraflex floor of the air-conditioned San Juan arena.

The high school volleyball matches will be played in between the men's and women's volleyball games of the PVL Collegiate Conference every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

On Sunday, where there are no PVL games, there will be four boys matches starting at 10:00 a.m. and a lone girls game at 8:00 a.m.
