Champion DLSU, challenger FEU go to war to start season

Games on Sunday at the MOA Arena

2:00 PM – UST vs UP

4:00 PM – FEU vs DLSU

More than three weeks have passed since De La Salle University and Far Eastern University got a little too friendly with each other in a preseason pocket tournament.

Now, the two teams’ rivalry is rekindled when they commence their campaigns in the UAAP 80 Men’s Basketball Tournament against each other.

The Green Archers open their title defense in the most interesting way possible as they take on the daring Tamaraws on Sunday at the MOA Arena.

The bell rings on the heavyweight bout at 4:00 PM. All of the action will be on S+A, S+A HD, and

The defending champions will be handicapped as they will not have Ben Mbala and probably Kib Montalbo. Still, Aljun Melecio, Ricci Rivero, and company are a tall task to handle.

Seeking to do just that is a revamped FEU side that will lean on newcomers Jasper Parker, RJ Ramirez, and Arvin Tolentino to complete the core already featuring Ron Dennison, Richard Escoto, and Prince Orizu.

Meanwhile, University of the Philippines and University of Sto. Tomas look to put their new weapons to good use up against each other at 2:00 PM.
