Aldin Ayo and Jamike Jarin meet again as DLSU battles NU

Games on Saturday at the Araneta Coliseum

2:00 PM – DLSU vs NU

4:00 PM – Adamson vs UST

Champion coaches Aldin Ayo and Jamike Jarin are set to rekindle their rivalry, only this time, the stage will be the UAAP 80 Men’s Basketball Tournament.

Ayo will guide De La Salle University while Jarin will steer National University as the two teams go for back-to-back wins to start the season on Saturday at the Araneta Coliseum.

The Letranite and the Bedan meet again now with all-new squads at 2:00 PM. All of the action will be on S+A, S+A HD, and livestream.

Ayo and Jarin last clashed when the latter was coaching his alma mater Colegio de San Juan de Letran and the former was mentoring also his alma mater San Beda College.

Then, Ayo ultimately came out on top and won the championship for the Knights.

Now in the UAAP, Ayo’s Green Archers (1-0) led by Aljun Melecio and Kib Montalbo will be challenged by Jamike Jarin’s Bulldogs (1-0) fronted by J-Jay Alejandro and Matt Salem.

In the day’s other game, Adamson University and University of Sto. Tomas dispute win number one at 4:00 PM.

In Women’s action, defending champion NU Lady Bulldogs gun for a monumental 50th win in a row in a Finals rematch with DLSU Lady Spikers at 8:00 AM. There will also be a matchup between the UST Tigresses and the Adamson Lady Falcons at 10:00 AM.
