With Mbala returning, DLSU is about to get even scarier
RICH GET RICHER. Ben Mbala will be making his debut in Season 80 with DLSU gunning for 3-0.

De La Salle University had no problems whatsoever against Far Eastern University, 95-90.

They then ran and ran and ran right through National University, 115-109.
And the 2-0 Green Archers will only get even scarier.

Ben Mbala, fresh off his starmaking stint in the 2017 FIBA Afrobasket, has returned to the Philippines and will be returning to the UAAP.

Yes, the reigning and defending league MVP will be back in action for the reigning and defending league champions.

And make no mistake about it, undefeated DLSU will only get scarier with Mbala back on the floor with them on Wednesday at the MOA Arena against Adamson University. “Kung may darating, pangdagdag na lang yun. We’re on this level, but when Ben arrives, aangat lang kami na kasama siya,” head coach Aldin Ayo said.

Also make no mistake about it, though, that nothing has been taken away from the solid job done by the Green Archers’ remaining frontcourt. “I was not worried because I know Prince [Rivero], Santi [Santillan], and Balti [Justine Baltazar] will deliver. Ganun yung kumpyansa ko sa big man ko,” Ayo shared.

He then continued, “Not only for the bigs, ganun yung kumpyansa ko sa lahat ng players ko. Lahat ng 14 guys namin, all of them are capable of playing, all of them are capable of performing.”

Still, the Green Archers’ mentor said they are welcoming back their Cameroonian powerhouse  with open arms. “Ben is a winner, for sure, Ben will blend in. Kung anong matutulong niya, yun ang gagawin niya,” he said.

He then continued, “We miss him. We’re excited na maglaro kami nang buo.”
