TOUCH THE SKY. Thirdy Ravena and Ateneo are yet to lose in the UAAP 80 Men's Basketball Tournament.

Ateneo de Manila University is now the lone league-leader in the UAAP 80 Men’s Basketball Tournament.

Thirdy Ravena had another all-around performance and the Blue Eagles had another field day from long distance as they dominated University of the East from start to finish for an 83-65 decision on Sunday at the MOA Arena.

In command for all but the first two minutes of the game, the Katipunan-based squad has now begun its campaign with four consecutive victories.

And with erstwhile undefeated De La Salle University’s loss to University of the Philippines last Saturday, Ateneo is now alone atop the leaderboard.

Ravena’s two-handed dunk proved to be the catalyst for the 18-6 blast that blew the game wide open.

From a three-point lead early in the third, the Blue Eagles’ edge grew to 52-37 late in the quarter.

The Red Warriors would not threaten the rest of the way.

Ravena wound up with 21 points, eight rebounds, and two assists while Nieto twins Matt and Mike flanked him with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Aaron Black also provided a big boost off the bench with 10 points, four rebounds, two assists, and one steal to his name.

As always, Ateneo showed off its range with a total of eight triples.

And as always, they showed off their depth and balance as those threes came from five different sets of hands.

For UE, Alvin Pasaol topped the scoring column with 22 points.

Without much help, however, he saw his team remain winless after four tries.
