Animam had her way against their opponents’ undersized frontline and finished with 15 points, 18 rebounds, and three blocks. “We know her and Rhena will be pivotal in our campaign because of their height and their dominance inside,” head coach Pat Aquino said of his big who lifted them to a still league-leading 6-0.

Frontcourt-mate Rhena Itesi contributed her own 10-point, 14-rebound double-double to go along with two blocks.

Nabalan wound up with 12 points to help the three-time defending champions register their 54th consecutive victory dating back to 2014.

On the other hand, Ateneo lost for the third time in a row and now stand at 2-4. Tina Deacon paced them with 19 points on top of 10 rebounds.
