What’s the story behind Thirdy Ravena’s jersey number 0?

NOBODY. Thirdy Ravena is a believer that all of us are in control of our own destiny.
Just like kuya Kiefer, Thirdy Ravena wore jersey number 15 in his time dominating the UAAP Juniors.
When he was promoted to the Seniors division, he wore jersey number 6 (because, of course, kuya Kiefer already had jersey number 15).
After sitting out what was supposed to be his sophomore season, Ravena rose from the ashes like a phoenix – with a brand new mindset, a brand new determination, and a brand new jersey number.
And so, the do-it-all forward began wearing jersey number 0 a season ago.
And it wasn’t because he is ultra-athletic like Russell Westbrook, he is clutch like Damian Lillard, or he is overpowering like Demarcus Cousins.
As it turns out, the reason is pretty personal. “(Jersey number) 0 kasi, it’s kind of cliché, pero it’s the number of people who could stop you from chasing your dream,” he shared.
He then continued, still waxing philosophical, “No one can stop you from doing what you want and chasing your dream.”
Indeed, believing in one’s self could not be more evident than in Ravena.
After a forgettable rookie year, he was forced to skip his second season due to academic issues.
From there, however, he only came back with a vengeance, taking care of his grades before taking care of his numbers on the court.
By the end of his return season, he was a member of the Mythical Team.
And in Season 80, the now 20-year-old is nothing but improved with averages of 14.9 points in 48.1 percent shooting, 8.9 rebounds, and 2.6 assists.
“I think your only limit is only what you think. It’s all on you. It’s gonna depend on how hard you work,” he said. “No one but you can stop you.”
