Arwind says no way Go makes game-tying 3 if he was on defense

Never change, Arwind Santos.
It's been over a decade since Arwind Santos last played for FEU in the UAAP.
But still, with the Tamaraws locked in a tight Final Four battle with Ateneo, it lookd like the former UAAP and PBA MVP was ready to go and check in.
After all, he was wearing his no. 19 FEU jersey, the same jersey that has been retired by his alma mater.
If he had his way, Santos was going to check himself in the game all right.
"Kung pwede lang eh, pumasok na ako," Santos said.
"Yung last shot na yun o kaya yung last stop sa defense, yun ang pinaka importante dun," he added, talking about the final two plays in regulation where Isaac Go hit a booming game-tying three for Ateneo on one end and saw Arvin Tolentino botch a potential FEU game-winner on the other.
Never without confidence, Arwind says he would have given up a lay-up from Go instead of taking his chances on a three-point shot.
"Dapat panalo na eh di ba, natalo pa. Yung crucial defense nila kay Go na naiwan nila sa tres, dapat kung ako yun, dapat pina-lay up mo na lang para kahit papaano sa inyo bola, di mo naman alam kung ano mangyayari. Yun lang, sayang. Sobrang sayang," he said.
Asked if he did check in and he was the one guarding Go on the fateful play, Arwind says no way Isaac Go was making that shot.
No, not even close.
"Hindi, hindi yun. Kahit ulitin mo yun hindi makaka-shoot yun, he said jokingly of course.
"Syempre di ba, tutal salita-salita lang, usapan lang naman, hindi makaka-shoot yun," Arwind added.
