UAAP Finals By the Numbers: It's GO time!
Welcome to By the Numbers, Isaac Go edition. Oh wait, it's the Finals edition.

It you're a fan of Ateneo, it sure was a roller coaster week am I right?

Of course I'm right.

The Blue Eagles, in a span of four days, went from on the brink of elimination to on the brink of capturing a UAAP title.

It just goes to show that anything can happen in this league, and that's why we love it.

Oh and also, if you're a fan of Ateneo, you sure love Isaac Go now. Like seriously, Isaac Go Ateneo is the new in cheer for the people of Katipunan.

Welcome to By the Numbers, Isaac Go edition. Oh wait, it's the Finals edition.

Number of defining clutch shots made by Isaac Go in two crucial games for Ateneo this week.

The first was a booming three to send the Blue Eagles' knockout Final Four game against FEU into overtime.

The second was an incredible putback to ice that same game against the Tamaraws during extra session. That incredible putback was made while Go was almost sitting down. Yes that happened.

The third was a clutch and-one play to ice the final tally of Game 1 against defending champion La Salle in the UAAP Finals.

Isaac Go Ateneo.

Number of points scored by the Blue Eagles against the Green Archers in each of their three games so far this season.

You simply cannot make this stuff up.

Ateneo went 2-1 in those games including the series opener of the UAAP Finals.

Number of wins by Ateneo over La Salle since last season aka the Ben Mbala era.

The rest of the league? Only one.

Speaking of the Ben Mbala era, since the Cameroonian powerhouse started playing at Taft, he's scored in double digits every game.

Every game except Game 1 of the 2017 Finals when he only scored eight points, a career low.

Number of field goal attempts for Ben Mbala in Game 1 of the Finals. He's averaging 15.5 field goal attempts per game this season.

If the Green Archers want to repeat as UAAP champions, they should find a way to give their two-time MVP his regular touches.

Seven attempts is so not enough but La Salle knows that already.

Number of UAAP titles for the Ateneo Blue Eagles.

La Salle has nine and the Green Archers took a one title lead over their sworn rivals by winning last year.

The Blue Eagles can once again tie the score if they get some revenge this season. Game 2 should be fun.
