Matt Nieto will only get stiches for the huge cut on his left eyebrow when the UAAP Finals is over.
Matt Nieto will keep playing with a huge cut above his left eye as Ateneo de Manila University goes for the kill against De La Salle University in Game 2 of the UAAP 80 Men’s Basketball Tournament.
Nieto, the Blue Eagles’ lead guard, told ABS-CBN’s Camille Naredo on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum that he had his huge cut glued.
Also, a bandage was right on top of his huge cut for additional protection.
Nieto sustained the huge cut after his face was at the receiving end of Ben Mbala’s left elbow last Saturday.
Four days later, the 19-year-old Nieto is yet to get stitches and will instead play with a still technically open wound.
He went on to say that he will only get stitches once the best-of-three championship round is over.
