Ricci on UAAP Finals: Di kami nag-pray na sana manalo
"Siguro will ni God na rin na nanalo sila, di kami nag-pray na sana manalo, nag-pray kami na whatever happens, sana yung will ni Papa Jesus yung mangyari." --- Ricci Rivero.
A breakout season didn't end according to plan for La Salle's Ricci Rivero.
Following the Green Archers' crushing Game 3 Finals loss to rival Ateneo Sunday, Rivero couldn't help but look back at what went wrong for La Salle in its now failed title defense.
"Siguro ginawa namin yung part namin during the game pero nagkulang kami throughout the process," the athletic Rivero said after the Blue Eagles claimed the UAAP title after an 88-86 win Sunday.
"Siguro may something na nag-lack and dapat may ginawa kami," he added.
Despite the bitter loss, Rivero is not one to question the result.
He basically said that everything happens for a reason and is leaving everything to the Higher Power.
"Siguro will ni God na rin na nanalo sila, di kami nag-pray na sana manalo, nag-pray kami na whatever happens, sana yung will ni Papa Jesus yung mangyari," Rivero said.
Still, Ricci couldn't deny that the loss will sting for him and his team. It's just a matter of moving on now.
"Sobrang hirap lang nung feeling, may ups and downs talaga ang now nasa down kami. Mas mahirap kasi yun dun sa nanalo kasi iisipin mo how to recover," Rivero said.
