UAAP Finals: Kobe Paras: Ravena's championship will hopefully silence haters
These second-generation players know they have a bigger target on their back for simply just being their father's son.
Kobe Paras dismissed his and Thirdy Ravena's detractors who said over the years that the two players were part of a team just because of their father's reputations.
Paras and Ravena, sons of PBA greats Benjie Paras and Bong Ravena, respectively, congratulated Ravena's UAAP Finals MVP performance on Twitter, and pointed out that Ravena's big plays for the Ateneo Blue Eagles were the big difference in the series.
My brother, @ThirdyRavenaaa , did it...— Kobe | koko wave 🌊 (@_kokoparas) December 3, 2017
Growing up people would always talk badly about us. They’d always say that the only reason why we got in the team was because our dad’s played pros and are well known...
proved them haters wrong again 🤷🏽♂️
Ravena in return thanked the now US-based Paras for always being on his back, and reiterated that Ravena also has his.
Thanks brodie! We finally made it. Thanks for always being a supportive brother! U know I got your back!— Thirdy (@ThirdyRavenaaa) December 4, 2017
