Reigning two-time UAAP MVP Ben Mbala has announced that he has left the De La Salle Green Archers and has joined as a foreign import in a Mexican professional team.

Mbala announced on his Twitter account that his decision to leave Taft was "one of the toughest I had to make after being with La Salle for many years" and that his decision to join the Spanish professional team was the "best in my career and development" 

He also thanked the De La Salle community, the coaching staff, and its patrons. 

 

Several days ago, Mexican professional team Fuerza Regia announced that they tapped Mbala as their import for the second half of their season. 

 

Translation: The professional basketball team "Fuerza Regia" in Castilla Leon has announced the arrival of Cameroon player Benoit (Ben) Mbala as a foreign reinforcement for the 2nd part of the 2017 to 2018 season and the League of the Americas 2018.

Mbala was welcomed with open arms along with Mexican-American NBADL alumnus Martin Samarco.
