Newly-hired UST Growling Tigers coach Aldin Ayo introduced new members of his coaching staff in a press briefing Thursday morning at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion.

Ayo brought along assistant coaches McJour Luib and Kristoffer Co from the De La Salle University Green Archers.

Luib was a key member of the 2015 NCAA men's basketball champions Letran Knights, while Co previously handled the Sta. Lucia Realtors in the Philippine Commercial Basketball League.

Also joining Ayo's staff are Rene Baena, who previously was an assistant coach with the Adamson Baby Falcons, and former Lyceum Pirates head coach Bonnie Garcia.

“Once makumpleto yung coaching staff saka namin titingnan kung ano yung roles [nila]," Ayo told The Varsitarian, the official student publication of the University of Santo Tomas.

Ayo added that some of his potential candidates still have prior commitments and will take some time before hiring them.

The Varsitarian also previously reported that Ayo will be coach of the struggling Growling Tigers "for the next six years."
