Ateneo and NU are out to formalize their 1-2 finish in the elimination round, no matter what happens
Games on Sunday at the Blue Eagle Gym in Quezon City
9:00 AM – Adamson vs UST
11:00 AM – UE vs NU
1:00 PM – Ateneo vs UPIS
3:00 PM – DLSZ vs FEU-Diliman
Ateneo de Manila High School and Nazareth School of National university remain 1-2 in the standings of the 80th Season of the UAAP Juniors Basketball Tournament.
With respective wins on Sunday at the Blue Eagle Gym in Quezon City, the Blue Eaglets and the Bullpups will formalize themselves as the top two seeds in the playoffs.
Ateneo (11-0) is out to keep its spotless slate intact when it is pitted against daring Katipunan rival University of the Philippines Integrated School (3-8) at 1:00 PM.
Before that at 11:00 AM, NU (9-2) is out to clinch a twice-to-beat advantage when it figures in a matchup with lowly University of the East (1-10).
If the two teams take care of business, they will be assured of a top two finish in the elimination round.
The other two spots in the playoffs will then be disputed by Far Eastern University-Diliman and University of Sto Tomas, both at 6-5, as well as 5-6 Adamson High School.
The Tiger Cubs and the Baby Falcons go at it with a place inside the playoff picture at stake at 9:00 AM while the Baby Tamaraws seek to defend their spot in the top four up against 3-8 De La Salle Zobel at 3:00 PM.
