Matches on Sunday (Rizal Memorial Football Stadium)

1:30 PM - DLSU vs. Adamson (Men)

4:00 PM - FEU vs. UE (Men)

UAAP Season 79 men’s football finalists Ateneo de Manila and Far Eastern University hope to be able to change their fortunes as both sides try to get on the win column in the UAAP Season 80 Men’s Football tournament, Sunday at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium.

The defending champions Blue Eagles had a rough opening day when they fell, 0-1, at the hands of their Katipunan rivals, the surging University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons.

A week removed from their opening day loss, Ateneo tries to bounce back at the expense of the National University Bulldogs, who also found themselves on the losing end last Sunday when they fell to University of Santo Tomas.

Ateneo and NU kick things off at 9:00 AM.

Later in the afternoon, FEU will try to shake off their slow start when they take on the hungry University of the East Red Warriors.

The season hasn’t been kind to the powerhouse Tamaraws so far, as they’ve gotten off to a 0-0-2 start to Season 80.

Following their opening day loss to University of Santo Tomas, the Tams found themselves struggling for answers once again as a rejuvenated De La Salle squad got the better of them, 3-1, Thursday.

Also looking to bounce back will be the Red Warriors, who suffered their first loss of the season against UP.

FEU and UP kick off at 4:00 PM.

In the second match of the day, the De La Salle Green Archers try to keep their momentum going as they take on the Adamson Soaring Falcons.

Following a forgettable Season 79 campaign, the Green Archers opened Season 80 with a bang, taking down Seaosn 80 finalists FEU, courtesy of goals from Matthew Custodio, Chris Lawless, and Yoshi Koizumi.

Looking to avoid back-to-back losses are the Soaring Falcons, who lost to UST, 0-3 in their season debut last Thursday.

DLSU and Adamson kick off at 1:30 PM.
