The fourth and final semifinals spot in the UAAP 80 Juniors Basketball Tournament will come down to CJ Cansino's UST or Joem Sabandal's Adamson
Game on Wednesday at the Blue Eagle Gym in Quezon City
10:00 AM – UST vs Adamson
Two days ago, University of Sto. Tomas and Adamson High School both wanted nothing more than to keep playing in the UAAP 80 Juniors Basketball Tournament.
That determination has led the two teams to a knockout bout for the fourth and final berth in the playoffs.
Now that knockout bout has come upon us, however, something’s gotta give and only one between the Tiger Cubs and the Baby Falcons will be staying alive at the end of the game day on Wednesday at the Blue Eagle Gym in Quezon City.
Espana and San Marcelino will wage war for the right to move on and face off against defending champion Far Eastern University-Diliman in the official start of the stepladder playoffs on Saturday.
UST draws confidence from the fact that it had just downed the Baby Tamaraws in the most recent outing. And oh, they also happen to have the Season MVP in do-it-all swingman CJ Cansino.
Of course, Adamson isn’t going to let itself get let behind, especially after a well-earned win over De La Salle Zobel. And oh, Joem Sabandal and Doria brothers Andrey and Adam are standouts in their own right.
The Tiger Cubs and the Baby Falcons split their two meetings in the elimination round.
