10:00 AM – FEU-Diliman vs UST

Just six days ago, University of Sto. Tomas edged out Far Eastern University-Diliman to stay alive in the UAAP 80 Juniors Basketball Tournament.

Now, both teams are nothing but determined for a win to remain in the running as the stepladder playoffs finally commences on Saturday morning.

The defending champion three-seed Baby Tamaraws and the upstart fourth-seed Tiger Cubs go at it once again inside the Blue Eaglet Gym in Quezon City and at stake is the right to face off with two-seed and twice-to-beat Nazareth School of National University.

Season MVP CJ Cansino and UST came out on top in the two teams’ meeting to end the elimination round.

Their first round meeting wasn’t that much different as Cansino and company also had their way.

Still, FEU-Diliman is the defending champion and L-Jay Gonzales and RJ Abarrientos are certain to give their all to make sure their reign extends just a bit longer.

The winner between the two teams will move on to a matchup against the Bullpups on Tuesday still at the Blue Eagle Gym.
