University of Sto. Tomas climbed to a three-way tie at second to fourth spots after shooting down Adamson University.

It was just another day at the office for University of Sto. Tomas hitter Arnold Bautista Sunday.

Bautista and two other Tigers submitted double-figure scores to power UST to a 25-20, 25-21, 14-25, 25-22, win over Adamson University in the 80th UAAP men's volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Espana-based squad returned in the win column for a 3-1 win-loss record tied with its previous match tormentor Ateneo de Manila University and National University at second to fourth spots.

Bautista uncorked 14 attacks in his 16-point performance while Joshua Umandal and Jayvee Sumagaysay chipped in with 12 and 10 markers, respectively, for the Tigers, who took the win despite throwinh away 38 points off their errors.

The Falcons absorbed its third loss in four outings to tie De La Salle University and University of the Philippines.

Leo Miranda had 12 points, Paolo Pablico had 11 markers while Mark Alvarez finished with 10 points for Adamson.
