Eli Soyud hopes to contribute in any way possible, whether in a starting or a bench role.
Adamson opposite Eli Soyud hopes that she can contribute more after posting a season-high 19 points against the Ateneo Lady Eagles.
Soyud, who had her best performance in the season thus far against the Ateneo Lady Eagles Wednesday, agreed with her coach Air Padda's sentiments that the team still lacks consistency, losing their last two games after winning their first two.
"Syempre, first andoon pa rin ang doubt ko sa sarili ko kasi ang pangit ng pinakita ko the past few games. So parang binild ko lang ang confidence ko. Mas maka-contribute ako sa team," Soyud said after the game.
When asked about her coach mentioning that there would be no permanent lineup set for the season, Soyud agreed with her coach's decision and stresses the need to step up in any way possible.
"Pag naman naging off ang isa, kailangan talaga mag-step up kasi kailangan yun ng team eh. Kailangan talaga maging ready para di mo sasabihin na 'ah kaya naman pala nila'. Parang dapat ikaw dapat mismo sa sarili mo, ready ka. "
The team, who is in the middle of a tough three-game stretch, lost handily against the UST Golden Tigresses Sunday before losing to Ateneo Wednesday, and is set to face defending champions De La Salle on Saturday.
As Soyud prepares to face her former team, where she won a championship with in Season 78, assured that there were no feelings hurt when she left Taft for San Marcelino.
The former Lady Spiker added that there will be no special preparation against the champs, and will treat them just like the four teams prior.
"Okay naman kasi kami eh. Okay naman kami lahat.Siguro next game, mag-aasaran lang. Wala namang hard feelings."
