UAAP 80 Men's Football: FEU smashes AdU for first win
Though only relying on a 14-player rotation, the Tamaraws believe that they can bank in on a strong second round once midfielder Arnel Amita returns.

The FEU Tamaraws scored a convincing victory over the winless Adamson Falcons, 7-0, in the UAAP Season 80 Football tournament at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium Thursday afternoon.

With their first win of the season, the Tamaraws finally tally three points for themselves, as they now have 5 points in the standings with a 1 win - 2 draw - 2 loss card.

Adamson meanwhile lost their fifth straight to start the season with a 0 win - 0 draw - 5 loss card for 0 points.

Rico Andes scored off a through ball courtesy of Dominique Canonigo from the right flank in the 41st minute to give FEU a 1-0 lead.

Marole Bungay then scored off a header close to the goal, receiving a cross from one his teammates in the 44th minute to double their lead over the hapless Falcons.

Alex Rayos Jr., chipped in as well, scoring just in front of a goal, getting the ball from a cross provided by Renz Saldivar in the 58th minute of action for a 3-0 lead.

The FEU onslaught was not finished though, as Audie Menzi scored a header from a pass from the corner by Jung Donggyu in the 65th minute.

Andes then proceeded to score this second goal of the match and was unmarked, scoring from the left flank, giving FEU the 5-0 advantage.

Harold Alcoresa, who was subbed in the game, scored another goal for FEU, nailing the top corner goal in the 85th minute.

Andes then proceeded to accomplish the hat trick with an assist from John Paul Salilig.

"Today, I'm really satisfied because we really desired to force to win. That's why in our practice is to focus on scoring. We did seven goals, I am so happy for today's game," said FEU coach Park Bo Bae.

Though only relying on a 14-player rotation, the Tamaraws believe that they can bank in on a strong second round once midfielder Arnel Amita returns.

"Yes, we have 14 players only, but I believe in our players' ability. We have to prepare more, but I think we will have a better result than in the first round."
