Far Eastern University eyes to add University of the East to its list of victims.
Unbeaten Far Eastern University face an embattled University of the East squad Saturday as the Tamaraws look to extend their winning run to five in the 80th UAAP men’s volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Sitting at solo lead with an immaculate 4-0 win-loss record, the Tams are heavily favored against the winless Red Warriors, who will play under athletic director Rod Roque as interim coach after mentor Sammy Acaylar resigned from his post Friday.
Game time is at 8:00 a.m. to be followed by the Adamson University-De La Salle University joust at 10:00 a.m. Games will air live on LIGA on SkyCable Channel 86, LIGA HD on SkyCable Channel 183 and via livestream.
FEU defeated University of the Philippines, 30-28, 25-21, 24-26, 25-16, a week ago.
UE is winless in five outings this season. Acaylar left the team at the middle of their campaign citing that he can't fully commit with the program especially after his promotion as athletic director of University of Perpetual Help in the NCAA.
The Green Spikers crushed the Red Warriors, 25-14, 25-20, 19-25, 25-21, last Wednesday for a 2-3 slate at solo fifth spot.
Adamson is coming off a two-game losing slump including a sorry 14-25 27-25, 23-25, 26-28, defeat at the hands of defending three-time champion Ateneo de Manila University.
The Falcons are at seventh with a 1-4 mark.
