National University faces another tough challenge Sunday when the Lady Bulldogs put their unbeaten record on the line against a fierce University of Sto. Tomas side in the 80th UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Lady Bulldogs are still unscathed after four games to continue their firm hold of the lead.

NU hopes to carry the momentum of its morale-boosting 26-24, 19-25, 22-25, 25-17, 16-14 triumph over defending two-time champion De La Salle University last week.

The Bulldogs will bank on hitters 6-foot-5 Jaja Santiago, Jorelle Singh, Aiko Urdas, Risa Sato and prized setter Jasmine Nabor to take on the challenge of the rejuvenated Tigresses.

UST has a 2-2 win-loss record and is looking to string back-to-back victories for the first time in the season.

The Tigresses destroyed Adamson University 25-9, 31-29, 25-19, with Sisi Rondina getting the much-needed support from veterans Dimdim Pacres and Carla Sandoval in their first game without injured Fil-Italian hitter Milena Alessandrini (shoulder) and libero Rica Rivera (knee).
