UAAP Volleyball: Jaja Santiago: Team to move on from loss by tonight
Jaja Santiago gave her props to the Lady Tamaraws, who improved to a 4-2 slate, and pointed out her team's own misfortunes in the game.
NU Lady Bulldogs team captain Jaja Santiago says that her team has no choice but to move on following their 22-25, 27-25, 13-25, 20-25 loss against the FEU Lady Tamaraws, their first of the season.
The skipper, who fired a season-low 13 points, a far cry from her 22.2 point average, maintained that the team was in high spirits despite the loss to the Lady Tams.
"[Walang sama ng loob]. Move on. Yun lang. Tapusin natin ang talo na to ngayong araw na to, let's move on," the towering do-it-all hitter said following the game.
Santiago gave her props to the Lady Tamaraws, who improved to a 4-2 slate, and pointed out her team's own misfortunes in the game.
"Actually, maganda naman ang pinakita ng bawat isa sa amin, siguro nagtrabaho lang talaga yung FEU ngayon nang maigi. Ayun, kinulang lang talaga sa passing and floor defense."
The skipper added that head coach Babes Castillo was also in a positive tune post-game, noting that the team will do no special preparations as they return to normalcy for training, and prodded the team to have a great performance in their next game against the UP Lady Maroons on Sunday.
Santiago, who had recently lost her grandfather last Monday, said that her performance was not hindered by her grief.
"Okay lang naman ako, walang problema. Di naman siya nakaapekto."
