UAAP VOLLEYBALL: ‘Sobrang nakakapagod matalo’ – Carlos after career-high

Tots Carlos and Isa Molde did the heavy lifting in UP's much-needed win over UST
Tots Carlos accounted for 30.19 percent of the University of the Philippines’ total points on Wednesday.
Merging that with Isa Molde’s 24 markers, the two of them had 56 of the Lady Maroons’ game-long output of 106.
For Carlos, taking on that much of a load is what she needs to do so that State U can put an end to their four-game slide.
“Kailangan naming tanggapin e kasi wala namang iba. Si Ayel, defense and set so sino pa bang aatake diba,” she told reporters after dropping a career-high 32 points and delivering to her team a much-needed win.
Indeed, other than the two third-year studs, no other UP player had more than seven points.
Clearly, Carlos and Molde took it upon themselves to carry their squad back onto the win column.
And now they did, the 2-4 Lady Maroons suddenly find themselves in joint sixth – with the top four still within reach.
Without a doubt, this second win will go a long way in terms of their confidence as they try to continue to climb the ladder. “Sobrang importante ng panalo na ‘to kasi sobrang bumaba kami e. Sobrang nakakapagod matalo so kailangan naming lumaban,” Carlos said.
Molde could only share the same sentiment. “Importante ‘to kasi nagbi-build kami ng confidence. Sana next game, magawa namin ang mga nangyari ngayon para magtuloy-tuloy na,” she remarked.
Carlos, Molde, and State U go for an encore up against league-leading National University on Sunday.
