UAAP VOLLEYBALL: Adamson U out to win second straight
Adamson University hunts for a fitting follow up win to its four-set upset over two-time defending champion De La Salle University a week ago.

Fresh off a great upset against two-time defending champion De La Salle University, Adamson University eyes a fitting end to its first round of eliminations campaign in the 80th UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan on Sunday.

The Lady Falcons will take on winless University of the East at 4:00 p.m. in a duel that will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166, LIGA on SkyCable Channel 86, LIGA HD on SkyCable Channel 183 and via livestream.

Adamson ended a 10-year losing skid against the Lady Spikers a week ago in a shocking 25-18, 15-25, 25-19, 25-22, upset as the Lady Falcons retuned on the winning track after suffering a five-set loss to Ateneo de Manila University.

The win evened the Lady Falcons record to 3-3.

Adamson is favored to walk away with the win against the Lady Warriors, who are yet to taste victory this season.

UE is on a six-game losing slide and 13 straight since last season.

The Lady Warriors are coming off a 20-25, 17-25, 26-24, 22-25, defeat at the hands of Far Eastern University last February 24 in the first game of interim coach Rod Roque, who replaced resigned mentor Francis Vicente.
