National University seeks to extend its winning streak to five to end the first round of eliminations on a high note.
National University clashes with University of the Philippines on Sunday at the close of the 80th UAAP men’s volleyball tournament first round elimination hoping for a share of the lead.
Game time of the match is at 8:00 a.m. at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan. The duel will air live on LIGA on SkyCable Channel 86, LIGA HD on SkyCable Channel 183 and via livestream.
The Bulldogs are at solo third spot with a 5-1 win-loss record behind joint leaders three-time defending champion Ateneo de Manila University and Far Eastern University, who both sport 6-1 slates.
NU is on a four-game winning streak and is fresh from handing the Tamaraws their first loss of the season, 22-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-17, last Wednesday.
The Fighting Maroons, on the other hand, snapped a four-game losing skid with a 25-22, 19-25, 21-25, 25-19, 15-12, victory over University of Sto. Tomas Wednesday.
UP sports a 2-4 mark.
Meanwhile, Adamson University and winless University of the East collide at 10:00 a.m.
The Falcons are at seventh spot with a 1-5 slate while the Red Warriors are still searching for their first win after dropping six straight.
