UAAP 80 Men's Football: DLSU beats AdU to snap losing skid
The Green Archers finally get back on track after a 2-0 win over Adamson.

De La Salle University finally snapped a three-match losing streak, opening the second round of the UAAP Season 80 Men's Football tournament with a 2-0 win over Adamson University, Thursday morning at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium. 

After a scoreless first half of action, the Green Archers took over in the second frame, and after an Adamson foul inside the box, the DLSU was rewarded with a penalty kick attempt. 

Jed Diamante calmly sank the penalty to give DLSU a 1-0 lead at the 68th minute. 

Less than ten minutes later, Chris Lawless put the game on ice with a 77th minute coversion to double the DLSU lead. 

With the win, DLSU improves to four wins and four losses for 12 points and get right back in the Final Four mix. 

Adamson meanwhile remains winless in eight matches for zero points.
