UAAP VOLLEYBALL: Sana bumalik yung Adamson na tumalo sa La Salle – Galanza

Jema Galanza believes that the Adamson that beat DLSU is the real Adamson - not the Adamson that got defeated by UE and UP
Adamson University got its biggest win in over two years by beating De La Salle University.
After that, however, they served up back-to-back letdowns against the bottom two teams in the standings.
Just six days after giving lowly University of the East its first win of the season, the Lady Falcons dropped another five-setter, this one to up-and-down University of the Philippines.
Without a doubt, this isn’t how San Marcelino wanted to follow its biggest win in over two years.
Skipper Jema Galanza acknowledged that she and her teammates, without much experience in winning, got too far ahead of themselves after the triumph over the defending champions. “Siguro nga nag-relax kami,” she told reporters.
Still, she remains adamant that the squad that sent a statement of contention is still there inside them. “Sana bumalik yung dating kami, yung tumalo sa La Salle. Tapos sana, magtuloy-tuloy na,” she said.
As leader of the team, Galanza knows full well that their bounce back starts with her. As she put it, “Dapat ako yung taong hindi nila makikitaan ng panghihina. Kahit manalo o matalo, dapat nandun ako, lumalaban,” she said.
She then continued, “Dapat ipakita kong ‘di pa ‘to yung katapusan. ‘Di kami dapat mawalan ng pag-asa kasi malaki pa chances naming makapasok ng Final Four.”
Indeed, even with the untimely skid, Adamson still stands at 3-5 – tied for fifth and not too far from joint third and fourth places Ateneo de Manila University and Far Eastern University.
And for the Lady Falcons’ faithful, the open spiker had one promise. “Siyempre, lagi kaming lalaban. ‘Di naman kami sumusuko, tuloy-tuloy lang kami sa paglaban,” she remarked.
