University of the East interim volleyball head coach Rod Roque has been handling his added workload in the UAAP season 80 volleyball tournament with as much grace as any mentor can.

After former head coaches Sammy Acaylar and Francis Vicente left their posts in the men's and women's squads respectively, Roque was entrusted to guide the collegiate squads' players, to hold practices, and to actually coach them during matches.

Every timeout during televised matches, Roque can be seen with a calm yet stern demeanor while talking to his wards.

So far, his coaching is doing wonders for the UE Lady Warriors, who have already notched two wins under the mentor, which was almost unthinkable to many fans before the season came.

While the UE volleyball program may take a while before it turns completely around, with the multi-titled juniors mentor, who is also the university's board member in the UAAP, at the helm keeping practices lighthearted, at least they're having fun.

How much fun, exactly?

In a video taken by the University of the East courtside reporter, the always game Migs Gomez, Coach Roque is seen performing a brief, yet pretty awesome handstand, in all its slow motion-captured greatness.

It is worth noting that he was a former member of the Philippine national gymnastics team before moving on to coaching juniors volleyball in UE.

A typical Filipino male of his advanced age may have trouble pulling something like that off, but not Coach Roque. He apparently also has a thing for doing the impossible.
