De La Salle gained the needed result to arrange a Finals rematch with University of Santo Tomas in the final UAAP Season 80 women's football elimination matchday, Saturday afternoon at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
The Lady Archers secured qualification in the one-game championship following a scoreless draw with Far Eastern University.
The Lady Tamaraws needed a win to force a one-game playoff for the right to face the Tigresses in the title match but could not get the job done.
Back-to-back title-seeking De La Salle finished second in the table with 16 points, three off UST, as the two sides go for all the marbles on April 5 at the same Malate venue.
FEU, which moved up one rung higher from last season's fourth place, ended its campaign with 13 points.
Later, Nona Amoncio's 80th minute strike in her final collegiate match proved to be the difference-maker as Ateneo capped its season with a 1-0 win over University of the Philippines.
The Lady Eagles finally won in the second round and collected eight points, while the Lady Maroons finished without a point to show.
