UAAP VOLLEYBALL: Adamson keeps Final Four bid alive

Adamson University remains on the right track in the race for a Final Four seat.
Adamson University fueled its Final Four drive with a sweep of University of the Philippines, 29-27, 28-26, 25-10, Saturday in the 80th UAAP men’s volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Royce Bello scored 17 points to lead three other Falcons in double figures. Adamson improved its record to 4-6.
Bello frustrated the attackers of the Fighting Maroons with a solid outing at the net, scoring nine off kill blocks. Paolo Pablico posted all but one of his 14 points off spikes, George Labang had 14 markers anchored on 10 attacks and four kill blocks while Leo Miranda had 10 points for Adamson, which completed an elimination round sweep of the Diliman-based squad.
The Maroons dropped to 3-6 slate tied with University of Sto. Tomas at sixth to seventh spots.
Wendel Miguel and John Mark Millete got 11 points each for UP.
