The heart of Kath Arado.
It was a scary moment for both University of the East players and fans alike when libero Kath Arado crumpled to the floor after failing to save a wayward ball against Adamson University late in the second set of their clash in the UAAP season 80 women's volleyball tournament.
The 19-year-old volleybelle stayed on the ground for a few seconds before UE's physical therapist, head coach Rod Roque, and her teammates stood close by to see how she is doing.
"Kaya pa?" the PT is heard in the TV broadcast, surveying the injured defensive specialist, who had both hands covering her face.
Fighting off tears, Arado showed just why she remains as one of the UAAP's best.
Staying true to the Lady Warriors' monicker, Arado, who has been instrumental in UE's two-game winning streak, and was named UAAP Player of the Week, she shook off the pain and stood up to return in position.
UE went on to drop the second set against Adamson, 11-25, but Arado is still on the court as of press time in Set 3.
The Match is tied at 1-1 after the Lady Warriors took Set 1, 25-19.
