Filipino-Canadian Matthew Daves and new teammate Jason Credo add to Ateneo's enviable depth at the wings
Ateneo de Manila University is getting more wind beneath its wings.
A couple of skilled forwards will be suiting up for the Blue Eagles, adding to an already stacked rotation including Mythical selection Thirdy Ravena, Troy Mallillin, Mike Nieto, and Raffy Verano.
Filipino-Canadian Matthew Daves officially announced his commitment to the Katipunan-based squad last Thursday.
The 6-foot-5 athletic forward has been opening eyes in the National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) playing for Fil-Can team Durham Crossover for three years in a row. He has been named an NBTC All-Star twice.
His commitment comes on the heels of Jason Credo’s official announcement that he will be staying in Ateneo two weeks ago.
The 6-foot-5 versatile wing was a key cog in the Blue Eaglets first championship in three years. In his last year in the Juniors, he averaged 9.6 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 1.9 assists.
