UAAP VOLLEYBALL: NU hopes to stop skid, UP on survival mode
National University and University of the Philippines square off in an all-important duel.

National University is out to arrest an alarming four-game losing skid in a faceoff against a very desperate University of the Philippines on Wednesday in the 80th UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

After an amazing first round run where the Lady Bulldogs dropped only one game, NU is now crumbling in the last stretch of the elimination round after slipping to no. 4 spot with a 6-5 win-loss slate just a game ahead of no. 5 Adamson (5-6).

Jaja Santiago and the rest of the Lady Bulldogs will try to end their nightmare in their 4:00 p.m. match that will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166, LIGA on SkyCable Channel 86, LIGA HD on SkyCable Channel 183 and via livestream.

The Lady Bulldogs dropped a sorry 25-22, 23-25, 21-25, 9-25, loss to University of Sto. Tomas last March 25 before the Holy Week break.

Meanwhile, the Lady Maroons is at the seventh spot with a 3-8 card and another loss will boot them out of the semis race.

UP is coming off a 25-21, 16-25, 20-25, 22-25, loss to Far Eastern University.
