Aldin Ayo made it clear that he is not going to do anything about Ricci Rivero - not going to do anything right now, at least
Ricci Rivero has bid farewell to De La Salle University.
After two successful seasons in green and white, the Season 80 Mythical selection is already mulling his next step.
A popular option is a reunion with former head coach Aldin Ayo who is now calling the shots for University of Sto. Tomas.
It was under the guidance of the multi-league mentor that Rivero became a bench energizer as a rookie and then a shining superstar in his second season.
However, Ayo said that, as of right now, he is yet to do anything about the development. “Hindi ko kinukuha,” he said, referring to Rivero.
He also added, however, “Pero hindi ko sinasabing hindi ko kukunin.”
This is a similar statement to one he had already made to Reuben Terrado of spin.ph a month ago.
Ayo furthered that whatever happens, the Growling Tigers are already all set at the 2-spot with UAAP Juniors MVP CJ Cansino. “May CJ Cansino na kami,” he expressed.
Outside UST, an unlikely suitor has emerged in the University of the Philippines.
Javi Gomez de Liano has already lit the fire with this tweet:

The UP community then added more fuel with their own tweets:
That was fast, @abscbnsports! That will be an opportunity to play for one of the most passionate and championship-hungry fans in the UAAP, if ever! 🤗🤗🤗@javigdl22 @RicciRivero06 #TrustTheProcess https://t.co/aed6TRc5hU— UP Fighting Maroons (@upmbt) Abril 5, 2018
Asked about the possibility of Rivero becoming a Fighting Maroon, head coach Bo Perasol answered, “Hindi pa namin actually naiisip, pero I think every team would want to have a talent like Ricci.”
