John Galinato's scoring exploits will now be witnessed in NU
Quietly, National University is building up one of the most talented, if not the most talented, lineups in all of college.
With John Lloyd Clemente, Dave Ildefonso, Darrel Menina, and Migs Oczon already poised to join Issa Gaye, Enzo Joson, and Jonas Tibayan, the rich are getting even richer with John Galinato committing to the Bulldogs.
“Opo, committed na po ako sa NU,” Galinato said a day after head coach Jamike Jarin told reporters that they have already secured his services.
Galinato is a scoring dynamo who had long scorched the nets for Chiang Kai Shek College.
It was behind the 5-foot-11 guard’s 19 points that the Blue Dragons bested powerhouse San Beda High School for the 2019 Metro Manila Basketball League championship.
He has also showcased his skills in the National Basketball Training Center where he has been an All-Star for three years in a row.
Galinato is as polished as they come at the offensive end, but has much more room to amp up his defensive intensity.
Still, the 19-year-old’s presence is a much welcome sight for a reserve crew which has long been a weakness for the Bulldogs.
Jarin is nothing but excited about the addition. “These young men will be a big help to our program. We all know John Galinato is a proven scorer and he brings us a lot of athleticism.,” he shared.
