Adamson out to secure at least a semis berth playoff
Adamson University battles Far Eastern University to secure at least playoff for the last semis ticket.

Adamson University guns to secure at least a playoff for the last Final Four slot against semis-bound Far Eastern University on Sunday in the 80th UAAP men’s volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Riding the crest of their three-game winning streak, the Falcons hope to add the Tamaraws in their list of victims in the scheduled 10:00 a.m. duel that will air live on LIGA on SkyCable Channel 86, LIGA HD on SkyCable Channel 183 and via livestream.

Adamson holds a 6-6 win-loss record at solo fourth spot behind three-time defending champion Ateneo de Manila University (10-2), National University (10-2) and FEU (9-2).

Another win by the Falcons will narrow the semis race to just Adamson and University of Sto. Tomas (5-7) while formally booting out idle De La Salle University (5-8).

But it won’t be an easy task for the Falcons with FEU shooting to boost its bid to advance in the Final Four with a twice-to-beat advantage.

Clashing at 8:00 a.m. are NU and winless University of the East.
