Basta kami, gusto namin manalo," --- Kung Fu Reyes on UST's final game vs. Adamson.

Even before UST took the court with La Salle in the second round of the UAAP Season 80 women's volleyball tournament, the Tigresses were already eliminated from Final Four contention.

Whatever slim chances of UST advancing to the next round evaporated when National University snapped its five-game slump by beating UE in the first game of the day.

The Lady Bulldogs moved up to 7-6 in standings, effectively eliminating UST and even UP in the process.

And so the Tigresses' latest challenge to the mighty Lady Archers didn't really have much meaning.

The 23-25, 23-25, 22-25, loss may not sting as much.

However, if UST is to salvage any sort of pride in yet another lost season, the Tigresses can find meaning by playing a spoiler role in their final game against Adamson University.

The Lady Falcons' own playoff hopes are hanging by a thread. Simply put, coach Air Padda's crew can no longer afford any losses moving forward.

"Damay-damay na tayo," UST's Emilio Reyes said.

Basta kami, gusto namin manalo," coach Kung Fu added.

As their frustrating season comes to a close, Reyes says that the Tigerreses are just looking to get the best finish possible.

Hopefully, they get it against the Soaring Falcons.

"Kasi kung titignan mo, overachieve kami last year.

Lagi naman kami nasa positive," he added.
