Alvin Pasaol and Philip Manalang re-assured that UE faithful that they will be back in red and white
University of the East is yet to name its new head coach, but it can rest assured that it will still have its main man and court general for the looming UAAP 81 Men’s Basketball Tournament.
“Lalaro pa ako sa UE,” 49-point man Alvin Pasaol said.
This, a month after reports broke that Pasaol and some other Red Warriors are mulling their exits.
Then, sources said that players have been left in the dark as to where their team was headed.
In particular, sources said that Pasaol and Manalang are in constant communication and if one will no longer play for UE, so will the other.
Now, however, it looks like Recto’s warm embrace has once again enclosed Pasaol.
And so, even though it’s still interim coach Melvin Reyes who is calling the shots during practices and for the upcoming 2018 Filoil Preseason, the Red Warriors’ main man is here to stay. “Wala pa kaming coach, pero okay lang naman. Training lang pa rin,” he said.
Court general Manalang also echoed the same sentiment. “Stay na po talaga ako kasi two years na lang (eligibility) ko e so mas maganda na dito na talaga matapos lahat yun,” he said.
