Kai Sotto has no plans yet for training in US
For Kai Sotto, playing for Gilas Pilipinas is the ultimate dream
In his mind, Kai Sotto has already fulfilled his objective in Ateneo de Manila High School.
Well, one of his objectives, at the very least.
Just 15 years old and already standing 7-foot-1, the towering teen is coming off his first championship and Finals MVP and still has three years of eligibility left to be a Blue Eaglet.
And for now, he is staying in Katipunan – especially as he is still finishing up his summer classes. Asked if he had plans, like many people are suggesting, to go to the US, he answered, “Wala pa naman akong planong pumuntang States.
Of course, that doesn’t mean that the tantalizing talent is already closing his door on whatever opportunity may come up. “Lahat naman, may possibility na pumunta sa States, pero yun nga, wala pa naman kaming plans,” he said.
For that to happen, Sotto has quite a few requirements. As he shared, “It depends din sa situation.
While going to the US is yet to be determined, what’s sure is that Sotto will continue to wear the flag – no matter what happens.
