Will the next Bernadeth Pons please stand up?
The FEU Lady Tamaraws are immediately back to work a mere week after their loss to De La Salle University in the UAAP season 80 women's volleyball Finals.
Volleyball hopefuls looking to join the most decorated women's squad in the UAAP joined the open tryouts held at the Far Easter University Gym in Sampaloc, Manila.
In a Facebook post by head coach George Pascua, the FEU Gym is seen packed with volleyball players who were warming up and doing drills in front of the observing members of the coaching staff.
FEU is the winningest women's volleyball program in the UAAP, with 29 championships under its belt.
The Lady Tamaraws fell short against the Lady Spikers last May 2 at the Araneta Coliseum, dropping Game 2 in three hard-fought sets, 24-26. 20-25. 24-26 to end their storybook season.
FEU has lost its longtime star in Bernadeth Pons, one of the MVP frontrunners in the recently-concluded season, to graduation and the Lady Tams are wasting no time in looking for its next talisman as the search for title no. 30 continues.
