Ex-Archer Brent Paraiso re-unites with coach Aldin in UST
Brent Paraiso will now have to get to know a new color
Brent Paraiso will not be wearing green and white for the first time in his young career.
Two months after his departure from De La Salle University, Paraiso announced on Sunday that he will now be playing for University of Sto. Tomas. “After 15 loyal years of being in green and white, God is leading me to Espana where I will pick myself up and stand proud,” he said in his post through Twitter.
He then continued, “From here on out, I am ready to roar.”
The 6-foot-2 swingman’s decision reunites him with Aldin Ayo - the Growling Tigers’ new head coach who had previously handled the Green Archers two years prior.
He is the latest get in what has been a full-scale rebuild for Ayo over in Espana. He joins holdovers skipper Marvin Lee and Jordan Sta. Ana, returnees Embons Bonleon and Renzo Subido, and recruits CJ Cansino, Mike Enriquez, and Makoy Marcos.
Paraiso will have to sit out the upcoming Season 81 for residency and will be eligible to play in Season 82.
He won a championship and then experienced a runner-up finish in the Seniors.
This, following a notable high school career where he teamed up with Aljun Melecio for contending DLS Zobel.
