Loud and proud former Tamaraws Arwind Santos, Rachel Anne Daquis, and Denok Miranda were named as the newest inductees to the Far Eastern University Sports Hall of Fame Monday.
In a Twitter post by FEU Athletics, the three were seen posing next to FEU Athletic Director Mark Molina.
Santos was the undisputed leader in the Tamaraws’ three-peat run during the early 2000s and was a two-time MVP and Finals MVP. He is now a multi-titled forward for the dynastic San Miguel Beermen.
Santos is also one of only three players to have had his jersey number 19 retired by the school, alongside Johnny Abarrientos and fellow inductee Daquis.
Having won a title back in 2008 with the Lady Tamaraws, Daquis was also hailed as one of the best in FEU’s long history of success in the UAAP. She is currently playing for the Cignal HD Spikers.
Capping off the newest batch of inductees is PBA veteran Denok Miranda, a key cog in FEU’s three-peat run alongside Santos.
Despite their long and successful careers after college, it is undeniable that they all started in Morayta and in the UAAP.
