Ateneo de Manila University is going full blast in the recruitment war for UAAP women's volleyball Season 81 next year.

Ateneo de Manila University made a recruitment coup as the Lady Eagles landed two experienced hitters for the UAAP Season 81 women’s volleyball tournament next year.

The Oliver Almadro-mentored Lady Eagles will have under its wings US-based Mikaela ‘Aya’ Cariaso and Millicent Salvino.

Aya is the daughter of PBA great Jeffrey Cariaso. She’s a 5-foot-9 outside hitter who played for Monroe Township High School in New Jersey.

Salvino is also a 5-foot-9 open spiker from Los Angeles, California and played for Granada Hills Charter.

The two players are expected to bring added firepower to Ateneo, who lost a prized hitter in Jho Maraguinot after last season, to help vital holdovers Kat Tolentino, Maddie Madayag and setter Deanna Wong.
