Jerrick Ahanmisi of Adamson University won the men's three-point shootout while teammate Jerome Lastimosa ruled the skills challenge of the UAAP Season 81 Last One Standing Hoops Challenge Friday inside the Mall of Asia.
Ahanmisi buried seven of his 15 shots in the championship round to take the title.
He defeated Aaron Waban of De La Salle University and Miguel Oczon of National University, who each sank five in the final.
Lastimosa, on the other hand, outplayed James Tempra of Far Eastern University to win the skills challenge.
Meanwhile, De La Salle University's Camille Claro and Ana Castillo ruled the skills challenge and three-point shootout women's events, respectively.
Claro bested University of Sto. Tomas' Juslyne Magat to claim the crown before Castillo made it a double celebration for the Lady Archers with a sweet victory in the three-point sniping challenge.
Castillo went off firing on all cylinders in the Finals to sink eight of her 15 attempts and outgunned Jamie Alcoy of Adamson University and Je-Anne Camelo, who both scored six apiece.
