UAAP: NU wins 66th straight; UST routs UP by 87 points
Aside from extending its remarkable winning streak to 66 games, NU joined idle De La Salle in first place with a 2-0 card.

Defending four-time champion National University grabbed a piece of the lead while University of Santo Tomas entered the win column Saturday in the UAAP Season 81 women's basketball tournament at the Araneta Coliseum.

Reigning MVP Jack Danielle Animam had 20 points and eight rebounds, while Ria Nabalan chipped in 14 points and five boards as the Lady Bulldogs overpowered Ateneo, 90-64.

Sai Larosa flirted on a triple-double with 28 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists as the Tigresses scored a dominating 129-42 win over University of the Philippines.

Aside from extending its remarkable winning streak to 66 games, NU joined idle De La Salle in first place with a 2-0 card.

Jhazmin Joson paced the Lady Eagles with 14 markers, four boards and three assists while Jollina Go added 12 points, five rebounds, four steals and two assists.

Ateneo fell in a tie with Far Eastern University at 2-1 in third place.

Congo's Grace Irebu also had a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds to go with six blocks to help UST
even its record at 1-1 in joint fifth with Adamson University.

Noella Cruz had 13 points and six steals for the Lady Maroons, who have lost three in a row.
